Ø 4:20pm meeting called to order.
Ø Meeting minutes from previous month were
unavailable.
Ø Treasurers
report - was submitted and approved.
Ø Jeff McCoy to submit the years meeting agendas
and forward to the Region office. Sergio has some ideas on meeting topics and
can get with Jeff to discuss.
Ø Sergio brought up having a vendors table
set up at monthly meetings for various companies to display their products, and will coordinate that.
Ø Sergio had raffle tickets printed to boost
attendance. Each member that attends can sign one ticket per meeting. At the end of December, a name will be drawn for a prize (not yet determined).
Ø CRC 2004 - Mark is in charge of the speakers. There will be a speaker from Invensys
on Bacnet vs. LAN. Mark Hegberg from ITT Bell & Gossett will also be one
of the speakers. Mark has been in contact with the Ashrae Society regarding a
tech session on ventilation standards - mold, moisture control, etc, He is working
on getting a speaker for that. Mark is also looking at doing a session on Geo
Thermal heating and cooling. Sergio suggested Energy Conservation might be a
pertinent topic to pursue also.
Ø The welcome party is a Hawaiian theme. We will have a pig roast buffet (inside by the pool
- near Figgs café) The cost will be $30.44/person with a $75 carving fee. It
will be a cash bar. Bill Kushner said to make sure everyone is informed to wear
Hawaiian attire and/or pool attire with prizes awarded for best dressed. Sergio
has someone from work that will DJ the welcome party - at no charge. Randy is
still waiting to hear on the costs to have hula dancers perform. Sergio will
ask Bill Reillys wife to do the decorations for the tables.
Ø Lori Kushner is in charge of the spouses
events. Friday night will be at Midway Village. We need 2 more volunteers to drive
the spouses vans. (if you drive, you get a free lunch) The Saturday spouses event is still undecided will either be a speaker at the Clock Tower or Anderson Gardens tour.
Ø John Schwab will be at the Registration table. Mechanical Inc. will be in charge of printing flyers (to be mailed out by March 1st,
name tags, etc. Mechanical will also be in charge of publicity, and ordering
the committee member polo shirts. Engineering Services will work the desk. Bill Kushner will get a sponsor letter out there will be 3 levels - $1000, $500,
$250. Trane Co. has already committed to $1000.
Bill said the chapter goal is to make $5000 on the event.
